 | M15 - Globular Cluster in PegasusDate: 14/11/2004
[Larger image available]
Stack of 30 afocal images. Seeing and focus could have been better,
and there is evidence of field rotation.

 | M42/M43 - Great Orion NebulaDate: 27/12/2004
[Larger image available]
Wide-field shot of M42 with M43 visible to the right. This image
was made afocally using a 26mm Plossl and Canon Powershot S45 with
my 80mm ED. It is a stack of 30 frames, each of which were 15-second
exposures. Processing was limited to Curves and Gaussian blur.
Seeing wasn't too great, and the close-by full moon must have washed
out a lot of the fainter details. Taking these conditions into
consideration, I'm quite pleased with the result!

 | M42 - Great Orion NebulaDate: 30/10/2004
[Larger image available]
Imaged using an LX90, Meade 26mm Super Plossl and Canon PowerShot S45.
16 x 15 second exposures at ISO 200, stacked in RegiStax and further
processed with Gausian blur and Curves in Paint Shop Pro.
This image shows the bright centre part of the nebula, which extends a lot
further than can be seen here.
