Comments

After a day of cloudiness, the sky became as clear as I've seen it here towards midnight. A good chance to pick out the finer details of Hercules and Aquila. Even the upper parts of Ophiuchus were reasonably clear, despite being quite close to the horizon behind a lot of illuminated atmosphere.

A nice surprise was a fairly bright meteor somewhere between Vega and Hercules, probably the tail end of the Perseids.
