Comments

Despite average seeing, many of the brighter stars high in the South-West sky were visible, such as Atlair, Vega and Arcturus. This allowed identification of the constellations Aquila and Bootes. The stars of Ursa Major were also partially visible to the North-West.

Later, as my eyes adapted better to the dark, I was able to pick out several stars between and nearby those mentioned above. These formed parts of Draco, Hercules and Cygnus.

Further observation in the North-East I managed to view Almach, Capella and the whole of Aries.
