Pandora

Pandora logo

The Pandora External link, with a 900MHz ARM processor, 430MHz DSP and 3D graphics hardware, will be the most powerful handheld system yet, when it's released later this year. Its Linux operating system allows the Pandora to run emulators of many popular games consoles and computers, or even a full desktop environment.

Software

Having preordered one of the first 4000 Pandoras available in the first shipment, I have already started working on ports of some popular software for use on this new system. These will all be available from the Pandora file archive External link as soon as they're confirmed to work properly.

Mock-up

I made this mock-up Pandora in order to visualise a couple of modifications I was thinking about. Should you wish to build one, you can download a PDF file conatining the nets PDF Icon for the full-colour version pictured or an ink-saving outline version. The overall size is that stated on the wiki External link, but as the rest was eye-balled from the available renders, I can't vouch for any other dimensions.
